Enjoyable work for STOLTBOLIG

 

 

Busy days puts me way behind on updating here. Finally I got some sparetime for working on my own stuff today. This is some work I did for one of my clients this christmas. A christmas greeting card and a wine label. Enjoyable process from start to finish.

It has been a really busy year. If I had to pick a new years resolution for 2013, it would have to be to get more time to do personal work. But I`ll just have to see what 2013 brings, first of all I am going to enjoy christmas and the people I love.I hope you will too! Lots of love from me and TED!

Another piece inspired by "english scenery" patterns

I hope you enjoy this one - I sure enjoyed making it. It is a combination of watercolour & illustrator. Hopefully there will be time to continue and develop in this manner soon - because it was rather addictive. There will also be a re-design here - but it will have to wait a little, I am going to let it "grow" in my mind a little first. Have a lovely day, and make some magic!

Illustration inspired by old china

I have had time to do some personal work. Enjoyable. Finally. I`ve had this idea for a long time now. It is inspired by some old china that I have. Different style. Need more pratice. But happy with this one. Considering it is the first one. I am combining an old drawing style with different positive quotations that I think deserve the attention, and can bring a smile to the viewer. No more - no less.

Someone misses you ...

..like I have been missing drawing. I have just started working on personal project. Perfect sketchwork for sunny days, lets me escape the computer for a few days. New watercolors and blank sheets = happiness. If only I had all the time in the world. Anyway it is good to have started, and I`ll put out some more of these and more info on the project when I can:) Have a lovely weekend!

Ideka as

A while back I did a corporate identity job for an accounting company called Ideka as, run by a passionate and energetic woman named Siri Brodahl Eik. I had a good time working on this!

Illustrations for "Foreldremanualen"

Here is some work I did recently for Foreldremanualen, a Norwegian Parent's Guide website written by parents for parents. I enjoyed working on this project, and wish Anette (- the woman behind this website) all the best of luck! We might be working on another project together soon, which will be exciting. I will keep you posted.

Barneloppis.no and familieblogger.no are two other websites that Anette runs.

During the prosess we decided to give all three of them a mutual look. 

Pink Coriander

Things has been really busy this last couple of months, but finally I managed to sneak in some time for illustration and a small update here. "Pink Coriander" is a swedish woman who recently moved to beautiful Cambridge (lucky her! - sounds exhiting!) with her husband and her two little kids. She wanted to report the experience through a blog. She asked me to make her header, and here is the result. It was an enjoyable comission, and  wish her and her family all the best!

Sweet apple pie

I made this very tasty apple pie over the weekend! Better than all the rest! It is from the lovely book "A piece of cake"
by Leila Lindholm. Here`s how to: (it`s in Norwegian, if someone would like it in english let me know vibeke@vibekehoie.no)

PAIDEIG:
150gr kaldt smør ( i terninger)
4 dl hvetemel
1/2 dl melis
1 egg
1/2 ss kaldt vann

Ha smør, mel og melis i en bolle og bald det med fingerne til det blir smuldrete. Ha i egg og vann, og arbeid deigen forsiktig sammen.
Dekk den med plast og la den ligge i kjøleskapet i 30 min.

FYLL:
12 epler
saft fra en sitron  
50 g smær           
4 ss sukker
2 ts malt kanel
1 ts ingefær

Skrell, og del eplene opp i biter. Legg dem i en bolle med sitronsaften. Smelt smøret i en stekepanne, ha i sukker, kanel
og ingefær. Stek eplene (lettest å gjøre det i 2 to omganger). Eplene avkjøles.

　
Smør paiformen. Del deigen i to (den ene biten skal være litt større enn den andre).Dekk bunnen av paiformen med den store delen,
den andre delen er til lokket. Hell de avkjølte eplene oppi formen, legg på lokket og pensle med egg og melk. Strø over litt demerarasukker

Voila!

   Stekes nederst i oven i 35 min på 175 grader          

　

When you are sowing the seed of love...don`t forget water

You might recognize this couple from an earlier post this year. This is the illustration they where made for. It `s for an article about how to keep your love growing stronger. It`s for the norwegian magazine Kamille.

Rearranging the furniture

Some people do it all the time. Do you? This illustration was for an article about just that, for some of us rearranging the furniture is as normal as washing the floors. This illu is where this sircus ballerina first appeared. I quite like her, so I hope she will show up some more.

Family portrait of "the Frafjords"

Late last year I was contacted by Katrine Frafjord who wanted to surprise her husband with a family portrait for christmas. I had done one of these before for a wedding, and I enjoyed doing it so I sais yes and here is the result. Lovely family!
